DMX Proves Himself Massive MC Lyte Fan, Spits Bars When He Meets Her
We're not stardom, but everyone knows that artists run in rarefied circles the common man doesn't have access to. DMX has been bumping heads with some big names himself after he stepped back into the studio with Swizz Beatz. DMX was inspired by his Verzuz with Snoop Dogg and has been hustling to make some new bars of his own, but as real hip hop fans know he's certainly a student of the game.
Lil Mama shared a video of DMX stanning for legendary rapper MC Lyte, and dropping a few bars out of respect. In the video, Lil Mama challenged DMX to spit a few bars to MC Lyte to challenge his academic knowledge- DMX obliged with the following:
"I used to be in love with this guy named Sam / I don't know why, cause he had the head like that of a clam / But you couldn't tell me nothin, cause Sam was number one / Cause to me, oh my gosh, he was one in a million."
