Drake Honors Late Friend On New Mixtape Cover Art
It's been just over 2 years since Drakes old friend and OVO affiliate Anthony "Fif" Soares was shot in 2017 - he may be gone but his memory has been kept alive by his family and good friends like Drake.
Last night at midnight Drake dropped his latest project Dark Lane Demo Tapes, a compilation of previously leaked tracks and some new beats. While the cover art shows Drake in a mask practicing social distancing...at night...the back features a yellowed and faded photo of Fif.
Fif was gunned down at the age of 33 in a community housing project. His daughter and girlfriend survive him today - Drake has had Soares inked on him forever immortalizing the man, along with a custom piece made in 2018 in his memory.
