Sometimes even being a celebrity doesn't mean you can secure coveted seats at top restaurants across the globe. It has been reported by the San Francisco Chronicle, that someone associated with the Kanye West team called up Nari, a Thai restaurant in San Francisco, looking to book a table for six. The caller represented that the group was from Noma, a restaurant owned by Danish chef René Redzepi. Pim Techamuanvivit has stated that her staff was excited about the opportunity to potentially serve Redzepi, although, in the end, they were disappointed to have been duped by none other than Kanye.

While the restaurant was happy to serve and treat Kanye and his team to a great meal, it seems that some of the cooks were disappointed. However, apparently, Kanye and his team were gracious the entire night.

“They were very normal, not loud, not demanding—just perfectly polite people happy to eat the food," Techamuanvivit said. “Definitely not what you might think of as rockstar people.”
